A couple weeks ago.. In Mirrors entered The CBC to record a new improvised live piece later titled "Emily"

This was our second time getting to use this incredible studio for a half hour. It is truly such an honour to get to sit down and play the legendary Steinway + Sons Grand Piano that so many of the greatest ever have performed on. We do not take this for granted. Pianos hold and contain a deep and brilliant amount of information and memories. One can't help but feel the power in the room.
The room is dead silent but yet so Loud!!

This was actually our second session of the day as we started by performing at an Improv Workshop in the DTES presented by NOW Society at 8east.
The session later titled "Acknowledgement" featured members of Irreversible Entanglements, Clyde Reed, Lisa Cay. Miller, Jesse Taylor, Andrew Grosvenor, plus other local masters... we were all playing together and trying to find new notes and rhythms.. by listening and learning with each other in a room with zero judgment. We were playing music having never spoken a word to each other.
The only conversation to be had was our instruments communicating.
We used this same approach when we got the opportunity to record at the CBC.
We got lucky the snow held off for that one day.
